Evenly, by amount or by percentage
Shared a bottle? Split it evenly. Someone had two thirds of the pizza? Split it by percentage or by exact amount. Every item can be split its own way.
Tips, service and cover charges, handled
Add a tip or service charge as a fixed amount or a percentage, shared equally or in proportion to what each person ordered. Cover charges go per head. They're counted in everyone's share automatically.
One dinner or a whole trip
Start a tab for a single meal, or one for the whole weekend with every restaurant, taxi and supermarket run inside it. Tabs keep going for as long as the trip does.
Travel in any currency
Each bill keeps its own currency: euros in Paris, yen in Tokyo. Totals convert to your home currency using daily rates from Norges Bank, and converted figures are clearly marked as estimates.
Start a bill from the place you're at
Search for the restaurant in Apple Maps and the bill starts with its name, and in the local currency of the country it's in.
Scan the menu
Take a photo of the menu and Tomodomo reads the dishes on your phone. Add them to the bill with a tap as people order, with no typing.
Fix it afterwards
Got a price wrong, or forgot who had the dessert? Edit or delete items, prices and venue names at any time, and everyone's share updates instantly.

One person pays the whole bill, or each person pays their own part: record it either way. Tomodomo tracks what the venue has been paid and what's still outstanding.

Category caps
Put a cap on the category that tends to get away from you: drinks, taxis, souvenirs. You'll see it coming before it's a problem.
Honest about currency
When a trip mixes currencies, converted totals are marked “≈” and use today's rate, so you always know which figures are exact and which are estimates.

Rate the places you've been
Give a place one to five stars and a note (“ask for the corner table”). The stars show on its pin on the map.

Heart the places you love. Next time, pick one from your favourites and the new bill starts with its name, location and logo.
Photos of what you ordered
Take photos of the dishes and link each one to its item on the bill. Share them all at once, each named after its dish.

Receipts, kept safe
Photograph the receipt and the card-terminal slip. They stay with the bill, ready to open in full screen and zoom in whenever there's a question.
Cover photos and venue logos
Give each trip and each bill a cover photo, framed however you like. Turn on venue logos and your tabs show the restaurant's own logo.
Private by default
Location is off until you turn it on, and it never leaves your phone. Venue logo lookups are off by default too, and only ever send the venue's name.
